The best surgeon in the state. My husband had a hip replacement there by a different doctor and it was great too. They use Sacred Heart Medical Center. They are a center of excellence.

Dr. Nicolas Strasser (OREGON)
Dr. Strasser is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship-trained in foot and ankle surgery. He works at Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and provides specialized expertise in foot and ankle/lower extremity surgery. His interests include surgery of the knee, ankle, and foot with a particular interest in ankle/foot sports medicine and ankle arthroplasty. He is a member of the AOFAS and AAOS.

Dr. Strasser resides in Eugene, Oregon with his wife and six children. While not running competitively he still enjoys recreational running. In addition to working full time at Slocum, serves as Surgery Division Chair at PeaceHealth Riverbend Medical Center and a member of the community orthopedic trauma program.
